The Style of Nash

In Erin's Perspective by Erin L. Cox

By Erin L. Cox

When people talk about Richard Nash, they often talk about his brilliant ideas, his business savvy, and his vast international connections.  I talk about his fashion–his classic gray suit, salt and pepper hair, dashing glasses, and, of course, his smile.  Richard Nash is hard not to spot in a crowd.

At Book Expo America earlier this year, I made the mistake of mocking his tie.  It was an egregious error and my colleagues instantly distanced themselves from me and claimed they liked it.

Last night at a party during The Frankfurt Book Fair, I was chastised by the crowd as Richard and I recounted this story.  And, to further my embarrassment, he pulled a beautiful tie out of his pocket and donned it to prove that I clearly had no taste.   Because I can admit defeat and apologize (I’m sorry, Richard), I snapped a photo of him (well, just his tie) to show for the record that he is a dapper fellow.
