Over the past four years the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair has become the premier publishing trade show in the Middle East and a place to meet-and-greet movers and shakers in publishing in the region.  As discussed in our lead article, this year’s fair appears to be the best yet, and includes for the first time the presence of an American collective stand as well as more participants from North America and the UK. What’s more, the fair will once again extend a $1,000 subsidy to rights deals signed at the Fair, which is a significant incentive for publishers looking for Arabic-language books for translation.

Publishing Perspectives will be there to cover all the action. Will you? Let us know in the comments below and we’ll arrange to speak with you in Abu Dhabi. You can also leave a comment on our Twitter feed using hashtags #ppdiscuss or #ADIBF2010.
