In addition to providing the traditional services of a literary agency—such as grooming manuscripts and selling rights—Rob Weisbach (read our profile of Weisbach here) plans to incorporate the skills of his clients, people like illustrator John Rocco and designer Beth Middleworth, into the services his firm offers.

“Both John and Beth are people I have worked with in the past and people I trust to do good work,” said Weisbach. “Having their skills as something I can offer to a client enables the client to think more creatively. In the end our staff, as well as our clients, form a cohesive team.”

Rocco is perhaps best known to book lovers as the cover artist for for Rick Riordan’s bestselling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. He is also an author himself and his books include Moonpowder (Hyperion) and Fu Finds the Way (Hyperion), an illustrated Chinese parable published in September.
