German book sales did not leave much room for optimism in February, coming in 7.5% under last year’s results. This follows a slow start in January and demonstrates just how powerful a role the Stephenie Meyer bump played in boosting sales last year. According to buchreport, if sales of the two most successful Meyer titles in 2009 (Breaking Dawn and Eclipse) are removed from the equation, sales for February 2010 are only down 2.5% over the same month last year.
