Two items from London: Publishing Perspectives columnist Richard Charkin announces a new publishing venture, and London Book Fair opens submissions for its 2019 International Excellence Awards.
The Nigerian publishing house founded by Bibi Bakare-Yusef was named winner of the Inclusivity in Publishing Award, and US-based Sara Miller McCune was on-hand to accept her Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is to go to SAGE Publishing founder Sara Miller McCune on April 10 as part of London Book Fair’s and the Publishers Association’s International Excellence Awards.
The International Excellence Awards will include an honor for the first time in April 2018 for a publisher in the audio space amid 16 categories of prizes.
Cross-cultural collaboration and publishing integrity are the key values backing the 2017 International Excellence Awards choices.
