The trade-visitor days concluded on Friday at Frankfurter Buchmesse, after meetings, reunions, industry discussions, and programming from Guest of Honor Canada.
Speaking in a digital discussion of Arab literature hosted by the Sheikh Zayed Book Award and Publishing Perspectives, its distribution originating at Frankfurt Studio, agent Yasmina Jraissati of the RAYA agency said that while events like the Arab Spring and the recent troubles in Lebanon stirred interest in these countries, “Arab authors don’t want politics to be the only prism through which Arab literature is seen.” Image: Publishing Perspectives, Roger Tagholm
