FBM_Logo_2015_Ehrengast_Englisch_RGB_44692PRESS RELEASE — The Frankfurt Book Fair and Incheon UNESCO World Book Capital for 2015 will partner to show the future of educational content with the Incheon EduContent Fair, bringing together content, technology, education, and entertainment media. For the first time, the Incheon EduContent Fair will showcase Asian education excellence and create an international business platform for content creators/owners, technology partners and additional services.

“This new fair is one of the core events within our UNESCO world book capital programme. Incheon as the biggest Asian travel hub will now also connect the world of education content with technology”, said Incheon Deputy Mayor Cho, Myung-woo at a press conference at the London Book Fair.

The Incheon EduContent Fair will take place over 4 days from November 12-15, 2015 at the Songdo Convensia, an international conference facility. It will include an expo for exhibitors with 4,000 square meters, seminars, in-depth work meetings, as well as special exhibition areas for new technology and creative ideas.

“We expect a big interest from international education related content publishers for the more than 200 exhibitors from Korea and neighbouring countries. We want to show how the future of education looks alike. Korea, a country that is leading internationally in many aspects of education and technology, is the perfect place for that”, adds Holger Volland, Vice President Business Development of the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The Fair will feature both a professional focus as well as opening to the public on the final day of the show for teachers, parents, and students to explore the learning of the future.

The professional focus will examine the political environment, trends and new markets and showcase the changing experience of publishing, exploring new technologies for creating, conveying, curating, distributing, and attributing value to content. For both trade visitors and consumers, there will be interactive environments to experience new types of learning.
