OK, maybe not, the best. But as William Goodman wrote for The Huffington Post, this just might be the craziest and most purely enjoyable book trailer done to date.
The seriously tongue-in-cheek video, co-starring Kate Micucci from the comedy-folk duo Garfunkel and Oates, was posted online for pop artist Brandon Bird’s new paperback Brandon Bird’s Astonishing World of Art by Chronicle Books, along with the following description:
From Pop artist Brandon Bird, this activity book is bursting with pages of coloring, stickering, and connect-the-dots fun! Featuring activities and portraits inspired by (and parodying) popular artists and televisions shows—including Law & Order, Nicolas Cage, Christopher Walken, Mr. T, Ghostbusters, and more—Brandon Bird’s Astonishing World of Art offers endless entertainment for adult children of all ages.
Brandon Bird is an artist most known for his tendency to paint figures from history and pop culture in absurd situations. He lives in Los Angeles.
I’m not normally one for coloring/activity books. Or for book trailers. But after seeing this one – I can hardly wait for the book to come out on August 27th.
