What Other Fellowship Programs Do You Recommend for Writers?

hand on keyboardAlmost everyone has heard of the Fulbright Fellowships for study overseas. But did you know they are also available to creative writers?

And while most of us have heard of artist colonies like Yaddo and MacDowell that take in writers, and writing conferences like Bread Loaf, there are scores more opportunities open for writers. But unless someone tells you about them, they can be difficult to discover beyond trolling the pages of Poets & Writers magazine.
