Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs, which will be published by Simon & Schuster on October 24 of this year, may also soon be a movie. Deadline.com reports that Sony Pictures has signed a deal with Isaacson for the movie rights to Steve Jobs for a guaranteed $1 million, or $3 million if the movie is produced.

TheWrap.com has confirmed that the producer for the film will be Mark Gordon, whose biggest credits include Saving Private Ryan, The Day After Tomorrow, The Patriot, Wonder Boys, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Talk to Me, The Painted Veil and Speed.

The book is already number one on the Amazon.com bestseller list (number 4 on the Amazon.com Kindle bestseller list), and the publication date has already been moved up twice.
