The Frankfurt Book Fair officially opened yesterday evening, ringing in the 2011 Fair with Iceland as the Guest of Honor this year. Speakers also discussed this year’s cooperation with car-maker Audi, whose pavillion in the Fair has become a hive of activity — it is home to the Press Centre, the StoryDrive conference and other events this year.

Reporter Andrew Wilkins also covered the Tools of Change Frankfurt conference, which took place on Tuesday. While it no longer needs to be said that publishers are focusing on digital, and TOC sessions were no exception as they explored mobile opportunities and e-book pricing strategies, to name a few topics.

Download our Wednesday Show Daily to read about all this and more, to see pictures from the Fair, and to hear from industry leaders who will appear at events in Frankfurt today.
