Publishing Scotland recently announced the second year of its Go-See Grants, which provide financial support for Scottish publishers to attend international book fairs. Backed financially by Creative Scotland, the aim of the grant is to increase opportunity for Scottish publishers of fiction, poetry, children’s, and select nonfiction to buy and sell rights abroad.

Priority will be given to first-time publisher presence at fairs, and financial need and the quality of the publishing program will be taken into consideration. The book fair must take place between March 2011 and March 2012. Applications and more information are available on Publishing Scotland’s website.
