The Frankfurt Book Fair is only a few months away!  Argentina will be featured as the Guest of Honour of this year’s fair (6 to 10 October 2010), appearing under the motto “Culture in Motion.” Playwright and author Griselda Gambara, will speak at the Frankfurt Book Fair’s opening ceremony and more than 45 Argentine authors will attend the fair, with some 292 works will be translated into 31 languages over the coming months to mark their appearance.

Argentinean literary greats Borges and Cortázar will be highlighted among the exhibits, which will include a literary “labyrinth” (Borges, anyone?) in the main Forum area of the fair. In addition, there will also be a multi-faceted Argentine-themed cultural programme in Frankfurt and Berlin, with a dozen exhibitions featuring 1,500 exhibits.

You can stay abreast of all the developments in the Argentina program here.
