Book Plates of the Famous and Infamous

In What's the Buzz by Edward Nawotka

The website Dark Roasted Blend features a story today about “Ex Libris Art” — or rather, book plates. It has some wonderful samples of this forgotten and much neglected art. There are examples from the libraries of many famous writers, including Jack London, Sigmund Freud, Charles Dickens, as well as those from notables such as Greta Garbo, Cecil B. DeMille, and…Benito Mussolini.

Lovely.
