E-reader Deathwatch: Plastic Logic’s QUE “Delayed”

In What's the Buzz by Edward Nawotka

It wasn’t too long ago in writing about CES that I suggested we all just chill when it comes to getting too excited about forthcoming e-readers. Among those devices featured at the fair last year was the 8.5 x 11 inch touch screen QUE e-reader from Plastic Logic. Now, even after raising some $200 million in financing, the QUE it looks to be DOA, reports WIRED magazine.

Labroke’s would do well to start taking bets on which ballyhooed devices will actually see the light of day and not merely fluorescents of some lab somewhere.

WePad, WePad, where for art thou WePad? Oh, yes, delayed. Txtr, Txtr? Delayed…

The e-reader industry is gettingĀ as bad as the airplane industry in delivering the goods.
