In Global Trade Talk by Hannah Johnson

Your in luck because Eoin Purcell, blogger and publishing consultant, has just launched a new Web site called Irish Publishing News. The new site will aggregate links about publishing in Ireland and “feature news stories, interviews and thought provoking essays,” according to Purcell.

You should start with the analysis of Ireland’s book sales, which concludes that the top 1,000 bestselling titles in Ireland “accounted for only .36% of the books available to buy [but] represented 33.6% of the Volume and 32.2% of the value.”

Purcell also gives us the week’s bestsellers in Ireland and says that O’Brien Press will begin a marketing initiative with Kelloggs to promote its books on cereal boxes.

You can subscribe on the homepage via email, RSS or get updates on Twitter from @irishpublishing.
