The Online-Vermarkterkreis (OVK) [Association for Online Marketers] predicts that the online advertising market in Germany will increase by 10% in 2009 to more than four billion Euros. As reported in the Boersenblatt, the OVK estimates that the percentage of the total advertising market devoted to Internet advertising will climb by 2%, to 16.6% — in third place behind traditional TV and newspaper advertising.

Oktoberfest means more to the German branch of Dorling Kindersley than just drinking beer while donning lederhosen: This year they are also celebrating the release of their first ever e-book. BuchMarkt reports that DK has made the travel guide Top 10 München (Top 10 Munich) available for download at www.dorlingkindersleyverlag.de to coincide with the world’s biggest und best beer festival. Prost!
