The Unión de Editoriales Universitarias Españolas (UNE) has reported that of the 4,443 university press titles published in Spain in 2010, 1,275 books — or 27.7% — were published in electronic format, the majority in PDF (96%). According to the report, 17 universities published e-book books and fully 65.4% of e-book sales were through the schools’ own websites.
