The Society for Editors and Proofreaders’ first-ever LBF seminar – The partnership between author and editor – was a great success. Each
of the six members of the panel gave an interesting account of their role in
the publishing process (from the point of view of author, publisher/in-house
editor, and freelance copy-editor). We also had time for a few questions
from the audience, and these were very interesting, covering a wide range of
issues.

It was standing room only at the event, and we also had people sitting on the floor at the back, and a queue of others waiting outside in case someone decided to leave!
