Who Do You Admire in Publishing?

By Edward Nawotka

Today we inaugurate an occasional series of stories about people we admire in publishing. Lauren Cerand, an independent publicist based in New York City does great work with authors, publishers and booksellers. She is also the Board Chair of Girls Write Now, a writing and mentoring program for at-risk high school girls.

We’d love to know who you admire in publishing and why. Send us an email and you might see them profiled in an upcoming edition of Publishing Perspectives.

I admire Drenke Willen (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), an editor who has superb taste, infinite patience, possesses a wicked sense of humor, a track record of prize winning authors that boggles the imagination, and the ability to say more in fewer words than anyone I have ever met.
