At BEA this year I had the privilege to sit on a panel hosted by the National Book Critics Circle about the effect e-reading is having on criticism and book reviews. The panelists included myself, Jane Ciabattari, president, National Book Critics Circle; Carolyn Kellogg, book blogger, The Los Angeles Times; Denise Oswald, editorial director, Soft Skull Press; Nicholas Latimer, director of publicity, Knopf, and Kate Travers, marketing and media consultant. The panel was moderated by John Reed, books editor, Brooklyn Rail.
